Services

In my work, I’ve seen how unresolved money stress can quietly erode relationships—and how powerful it is when partners begin to speak openly, listen with empathy, and align their financial choices with shared values and long-term goals.

Merge is also a space for individuals feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or ashamed about money. You may be navigating a life transition, unlearning generational patterns, or simply trying to gain more control and confidence in your financial life. No matter where you’re starting, this work is about healing your relationship with money from the inside out.

I offer individual sessions, couples financial therapy, and workshops, using a trauma-informed, collaborative approach rooted in my signature MERGE Method, which addresses:

  • Money Stories – Uncover how early money experiences and family messages shape your beliefs

  • Emotions – Identify financial triggers and build skills to manage anxiety, shame, or avoidance

  • Relationships – Improve financial communication and establish healthy money boundaries

  • Growth – Align your financial goals with your values and the legacy you want to create

  • Endurance – Develop adaptable systems and habits for long-term financial and emotional wellbeing

Whether you’re seeking financial peace as an individual or striving for greater connection as a couple, Merge offers a space where emotional healing and practical financial change go hand in hand.

Because money is never just about money—it’s about your story, your relationships, and your future.

How long will we work together?

3

It is recommended to allow for 6-8 sessions, scheduled bi-weekly (twice per month), to explore your goals in working together, how you grew up experiencing money and personal finance, and identifying practical and achievable changes you can make to improve your relationship with money. That being said, there is no committment required and we will spend the first session or two making sure the relationship is a good fit. It is also common that clients decide to continue past 6-8 sessions.

Some important limitations of financial therapy services:

  • Merge Financial Therapy does not provide investment advice, financial planning, tax advice, accounting services, or legal advice. For these services, clients should consult appropriately licensed professionals.

  • Merge Financial Therapy does not provide psychotherapy, mental health diagnosis, medical treatment, or crisis services. While emotional and relational aspects of money are addressed, these services are not a substitute for mental health treatment. Referrals to licensed mental health providers may be offered when appropriate.

  • Financial therapy services are intended to complement, not replace, other financial or mental health professionals you may be working with.

  • Participation in financial therapy is voluntary, and you may withdraw your consent and discontinue services at any time without penalty, aside from fees already incurred.

  • By engaging in financial therapy, clients acknowledge that financial therapy may involve emotional discomfort, increased awareness of stress or conflict related to money, or temporary distress as patterns and beliefs are explored.

  • Potential benefits may include increased insight, improved financial communication, emotional clarity, and greater confidence in decision-making; however, specific outcomes are not guaranteed.

  • By engaging in financial therapy, clients understand that alternatives to financial therapy include working with a financial coach, financial advisor, mental health professional, or choosing not to engage in services at this time.
